Welcome message from our Governing Board President
Sunday Service at 10:00 a.m. First Parish Chapel, 12 Church St., Plymouth, MA
April 19 - "A Change of Heart" - Linda Harding
One Sunday in January, during coffee hour, I sat down with my friend Valerie, who proceeded to say, “Things are just awful in America - just awful. What is one supposed to do?” At the moment, I was struggling with the same question. It’s interesting how, once we put a question out to the Universe, we begin to see hints and clues that lead us to an answer. This Sunday’s service, I’ll be sharing my journey of standing in our UU shared value, Keeping Love at The Center, and coming to my own conclusion of “what is there to do, when you don’t know what to do.”
Our congregation is full of people with varying religious backgrounds, from none at all to many. We come together to stand on a common ground of moral values. In good times and bad, we support one another. We welcome all who step through our doors. Freedom of belief is foundational to Unitarian Universalism. We affirm the worth of all human beings and the integrity of individual thought and action. As a liberal religious community, we share the quest for a practical religion based on deed, not creed.
We are located at 12 Church St., Plymouth, MA. Our administrative office is open on: Tuesday 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. Wednesday, 8 a.m - 1 p.m. Thursday, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. 508-747-1606 [email protected]
First Parish Plymouth UU has been officially recognized for our commitment to being fully inclusive of LGBTQ+ people. This involves intentional education, dismantling homophobia and transphobia, and active integration of LGBTQ+ people in all aspects of congregational life, from worship to leadership.
